The Torbay Museum is not only for looking at artifacts of the "good ol' days", it is also about dealing with the community and the people in it. The curator is very active within the town and finds as many activities that the museum can take part in. The museum also prides itself in offering groups and organizations that opportunity of learning the fine art of hooking mats and other activities that our ancestors once did.
The museum has been a part of the Annual Torbay Santa Claus Parade for many years now. If you happen to peak inside Mrs. Pellegrinetti's office you can see some of the Best Float Awards it has won.
Every Canada Day, the museum is active in the town's festivities. Whether it's having a social for the seniors or helping in the planning of the events there is always a representative there.
The museum was also one of the focus points of the judges from the "Communities in Bloom" competition. The town of Torbay was awarded a four bloom rating out of five. You can check out more information on the competition on The
Town of Torbay Homepage.
