S.H.A.R.E.

Schools Helping All Reach Excellence

S.H.A.R.E. is a group of students and teachers teaching children and adults to learn how to use the Internet.

My name is Tyler Lansden. I am a 5th grade student at East Chapmanville Grade School. Along with my classmates, Emily Ellis and Cody Perry, I help to teach an introduction to the Internet to 3rd-5th grade students at my school. We are also sharing our skills using Powerpoint and Encarta.

We only have three Internet computers, so we can only teach a small group at a time. Each Thursday from 3:30 - 5:00 p.m., we work with six students selected from a large group of interested classmates. Our facilitator, Mrs. Debra Bias, supervises our class. She sometimes brings students into her room for a follow-up session during her lunch break. We hope to be able to teach interested adults soon.

Other schools are also participating in the S.H.A.R.E. project.
