BACKGROUND
CERTIFIED ELEMENTARY TEACHER:  I have been teaching for over 25 years in various school districts in grades K - 10.  I am licensed to teach in the States of Minnesota & Texas.  I also received my ACSI certification in June 1999.
LIVING HISTORY INTERPRETER & REENATOR:I have been involved in living history for over 20 years.  I started out volunteering, at Murphy's Landing, in Shakopee, MN.  This is a recreated community that covers the years 1840s-1890s.
I created and taught their one room school program for several years as well as an immersion program for 5th-9th grade students.
I am also involved at Dakota City, a village that depicts the early 1900s.  They contracted me to develop a program of People In The Past.
20 years ago I got involved in the fur trade rendezvous and the Old West Society of Minnesota.  In all my reenactments I portray a Norwegian immigrant.  This character has portrayed a fur trader, banker, general store owner, as well as a pioneer moving west.
TOASTMASTERS (ATM Bronze):I have been in Toastmasters, a public speaking organization, for over 20 years.  It has helped me improve my speaking and presentation skills. DINNER HOST:  I have hosted and served period dinners for 8 years at Murphy's Landing.  For four years, 1993-1997, I worked at Knott''s Camp Snoopy, Mall of America, hosting, serving, and supervising the restaurants in the park.  I also worked for Hire A Host catering events.
