I hope this is the right address for the unit study information. I have been to your site several times and it is such a help to me. That is the reason for this e-mail. I need help! I know it is not your job to council other homeschool moms but I need a little help right now. I too favor the unit study approach, my concern is that my children are not getting enough. Let me explain and give some background. I am a new h/s mom. This is our first year. We have had an intensive Civil War unit study with several other moms that lasted almost 4 months (Sept-Dec). My daughter,28, married in Nov. and my husband had his first and very unexpected heart attack the day after Thanksgiving. My boys are ages, 23,12, and10. Since I'm starting with a 7th grader and a 4th grader, I'm confused. I have the big book for NC studies from K-12. I am favoring a hands on, unschool approach, but I don't know how to consolidate or separate the important from the not so important. We are a creative family and have our own commercial interior trim business, which I forgot to mention I am the bookkeeper and marketing manager. I hope some of this has made sense. I am so glad that I clicked on your web site. I have been reading e-mail from you since I joined three days ago and I have learned a lot and truly enjoyed the news. John arrived in 1988, and both have been moving along well in their schoolwork and extra activities.
