Nilam Patel Bahushrut Foundation has been awarding Scholarships, Prizes and Special Awards to Hearing Impaired Students who pass Secondary Level examination ( S.S.C.) since the scholastic year 1994-1995. As the funds grew, the scholarships were extended to those Hearing Impaired students who passed Higher Secondary Level ( H.S.C.), Bachelor's Degree or Master's Degree. The application forms are received during the period 1st of July to 15th of August. The Scholarships and Prizes are awarded in the month of October each year at a function specially held for this event.

Eligibility for Scholarships, Prizes and Special Awards

• The student should pass the examination from a NORMAL Educational Set-up.

• The student should pass the examination on the FIRST Attempt Only.

• The student should be a resident of Maharshtra State, India.

Criteria on which the Scholarships, Prizes and Special Awards are given

• Based on percentage of marks obtained at the examination.

The number of scholarships given by the foundation each year.

• Academic Year 1994-95 : 16 students (S.S.C Level)

• Academic Year 1995-96 : 10 students.(S.S.C Level)

• Academic Year 1996-97 : 12 students (5 - S.S.C. Level, 5 - H.S.C. Level and 2 Bachelor's Level)

• Academic Year 1997-98 : 18 students (8 - S.S.C. Level, 8 - H.S.C. Level, 1Bachelor's Level and 1 Master's Level)
