As you know, I have an extensive collection of artifacts which belonged to Major Robert C. Wallace of the 5th Michigan Cavalry, part of Custer's Michigan Brigade. While I do not have all of his stuff, I have made contact with those who have the balance of what I do not have. Through this collaboration I discovered that Wallace had been awarded (albeit late) a Custer Medal/Badge from the General. I discovered that very little was known about this prestigious award and decided to write the definite article on this subject. Regards, John |
