Dark Cypher Memberships

Let's be honest here...

OK...as stated...let's be honest here. We get an awful lot of mail asking about memberships to the Dark Cypher online or in person. Well, the fact is that the Dark Cypher has not, cannot, and will not be accepting memberships online or in person. The Dark Cypher is not an officially recognized grotto/cypher or of the Church of Satan, and therefore we feel it would cause too much confusion to go around letting people become members to our group and act as if they are recognized members of the CoS. Besides, the Dark Cypher is essentially a group of people who are into Satanism or like beliefs who thought forming a collective group would be a great idea because of how much we can all learn from each other. Other members became recognized members because they simply agreed strongly with much we had and have to say, and knew a member personally enough to be brought on board. Besides, if you're truly motivated enough to become a Satanist, you can surely become one without online gimmick grottos that could be totally bogus. If you already are a Satanist, and you want fellowship with others for your own reasons, the Church of Satan, I'm certain, is always looking for bright minds and strong individuals to have fellowship with. Personally, having strong ties to many official members of the CoS, I can say without a doubt that if you really want to be a part of the CoS, and you have sound reasons for doing such, why not go straight to the top rather than waste time with online grottos, wierd chatroom gimmick Satanists, and annonymous E-Mail groups and such? If you agree strongly with the Anton LaVey as I do, just go for what you personally want, but go for what's real. Is the Dark Cypher for real? Abso-f**kin'-lutely. But the Dark Cypher is our approach to the Satanic way of life and beliefs, it's not for annonymous people we may or may not be able to trust, and it's CERTAINLY not the place for gimmicks and nonsense. There will never be any solicitation for money, blood, your first-born child, dead animals, or any of the other wild suggestions that have been piling in our E-Mail. The only time money will be taken by one of us is for a Dark Cypher private domain site, like a 'www.darkcypher.com' sort of thing that we'd have to pay for(unlike the free acct. on Geocities), and even then sponsorship would come from real sponsors offering real services and benefits, not some online collection plate asking for money you'll never see again. Save your money for a fancy cover for your Satanic Bible, a new black robe or membership to the official and REAL Church of Satan or something, I have my own cash(ironically those first two suggestions are what I did with some of it recently).
