Say hello, or write a note to the Web Master: Maadhava@aol.com.
Goodness, Passion and Ignorance, GPI, is a concept developed in
the ancient vedic literatures of India, where it is know as Triguna.
The term guna translates as mode or quality, and together these
three (tri) gunas are referred to as the three modes of material
nature.
These web pages present Triguna, the three modes of material
nature, as a valuable tool to understand human behavior for students
of the social sciences and literature. The material presented here is
especially designed to relate modern theories of gifted education to
the introduction of GPI into the standard curriculum. Gardner's
multiple intelligences, Renzulli's school wide enrichment,
Tannenbaum, Gagne, Bloom, and other modern theorists are
referred to throughout these pages. Also to be found are
illustrations of standard teaching methods such as scamper, acrostic,
dilemmas, take a stand, divergent questions, creative listing, poetry,
and pmi or plus minus inventory. More pages shall be added from
time to time, so please come back and visit us again.
