This was my 1977 Austin Mini Clubman. I had it for about a year and a half, and really enjoyed it's mobility. The Mini was the first front wheel drive car, and has been a popular British made car since 1959. It is a quick little car, and is great for difficult-to-find parking spaces, which London is known for. |

![]() | The Mini has a very small trunk, or "boot," as they say. It had an 1,100cc engine, which was powerfull enough to carry four adults through normal city traffic, which in London, is just about always heavy. To drive in London you have to know how to improvise--it's good to know two, or three different ways to get where you are going. |
This is the Mini that I rented in Malta in 1991. I drove all over Malta and had a great time viewing archaelogical sites, the coast, villages, and visited friends near Valletta. Driving a Mini was a fun and exciting way to get around Malta, which is a fantastic place to visit. | ![]() |
