![]() This flower was beautiful in its day, but now it is gone and all that remains is this inadequate photo image. Centuries ago, the Prophet Isaiah compared the temporary beauty of flowers to the life experience of everyone of us. Read his words below. |
"The glory of the Lord will be seen by all mankind together. The Lord has spoken - it shall be."
The voice says, "Shout!" "What shall I shout?" I asked.
"Shout that man is like grass that dies away, and all his beauty fades like dying flowers. The grass withers, and the flower fades beneath the breath of God. And so it is with fragile man. The grass withers, the flowers fade, but the Word of our God shall stand forever".
Isaiah 40:5-8 The Living Bible.
Yes! we are Christians who hold the word of God in very high regard. We have learned from experience that the Bible is exactly what it claims to be, it is the word of God.
Not just any God but, in fact, word from the Creator of the Heavens and Earth.
We firmly believe that the words recorded in this book are the only ones that offer any hope or future for each and everyone of us. We contend whole heartedly, that if the message conveyed by this book is heeded and responded to in the correct way, the benefits gained and the long term advantages are more than can be adequately spoken about in mere in human terms.
Jesus implied this when he went on record as saying, "I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly" (John 10-10).
If you have never read or taken the words of the Bible to heart, we sincerely commend them for your further consideration.
The words penned by Isaiah, used as our introduction, are an inescapable fact of life.
No one in their right mind can deny this to be so.
However, the Bible reveals that there is hope beyond this inevitable outcome, for those who respond to the call of Jesus Christ the Son of God. A call which involves embracing his teachings as spelt out in the Sermon on the Mount. Teachings which were clearly demonstrated by his manner of life as attested by the New Testament record.
Of course, if you are not interested in living life to its truest and fullest extent, then nothing we say here will make any difference. Perhaps you have chosen to be an Athiest, Agnostic or just a plain Unbeliever and are quite happy to accept the consequences of such stand, which will ultimately lead to permanent termination of life - oblivion, eternal nothingness. If this is your stand, it may do you well to reflect on the words of Psalm 14:1 and Psalm 53:1
