Our involvement in the German American Partnership Program, a non-profit organization devoted to creating cultural understanding between German and American youths, has allowed us to establish a partnership with the Jacob-Ellrod Realschule in Gefrees, Bavaria. This partnership, established in mid 1994, is an on-going partnership and since its inception, we have carried out two exhanges with each other, established an email and chat link with the two schools over the Internet and have brought together many students, both as exchange partners and as pen pals. Mr. Charlie Beigel, a teacher of Physics at the JES, is the coordinator on the German side and Mr. Chris Bradshaw, teacher of German at TVHS, is the coordinator on the American side. Even when an exchange is not going on, students and teachers are communicating with each other regularly via the Internet. Our last exchange, just completed in April of 1996, was an incredible experience for all involved. You may read about it by jumping to the links above.
