Planewalking Gear
"Looking for that special item you need to get the edge over your adversaries? You've come to the right place, blood. Yosham Nithrak at your service - purveyor of weapons and equipment to the hendest cutters in the Cage. Allow me to demonstrate a few of our more unusual weapons.
A Chakram is a metal ring, about eight inches wide, with a V-shaped cross-section. It's blunt on the inner side, so you can handle it safely, but the outer edge is razor-sharp. Throw it at a critter and odds are it won't get up - assuming you hit it of course. A blood from Arborea called Xena's made a magical Chakram her trademark weapon, and the Vedic powers seem keen on them too. You don't want to cross Xena - she's an ex-proxy of Ares and fights like a bonespear with a headache. Oh, and I hear that the baatezu now make these in green steel, although I'd have to make a special order for that, and it costs, squire.
A Knife-stick isn't this weapon's proper name, but I can't pronounce its original name, and most folks can't remember it. Essentially it's a staff, lighter than a quarterstaff but about as long, with a lethal stiletto-like spike on each end. Get in close with it and it slides into your opponent's armour through even the smallest chink. I think the knife-stick comes from out of the Hinterlands, but I'm not sure."

* A knife-stick inflicts this low amount of damage against armoured opponents, and creatures with tough hide. Against others, or if a natural 19+ is rolled on the 'to hit' roll (assuming that it hits), the damage characteristic is 1d6/1d4. Other critical hit rules never apply to this weapon.
"Are any of them magical? None of these, you may be sure. But I know that these weapons can be enchanted. Sure as Sigil they can. There're chakrams that come back when you throw them, and knife-sticks that punch holes in steel."
If an enchanted chakram is found (DM's choice), then 75% of the time it's a simple +1 weapon. 15% of the time it'll be a chakram +1 of speed, which doubles the rate of fire normally achieved. Those are normally found in pairs. 7% of the time it's a chakram +2, +4 vs. avians, and the remaining 3% are the very rare and valuable chakrams +3, returning, which function similarly to a dwarven throwing hammer. They also have the doubled rate of fire boasted by the speed version, although they take the rest of a round to return, so you'll need another magical chakram to take advantage of this bonus. Don't forget to determine the plane of origin for planar magical items. Knowledge of the enchantment of such things is presently a secret.
All enchanted knife-sticks are knife-sticks +1 of puncturing, which do the higher damage on a natural 16+ if they hit, rather than the usual 19+. The magical bonus always applies.
"Not buying anything squire? Shame. I just got a shipment of sickles in if you want. No? Well, come again soon, blood. Damn."
