WAIT! Read this disclaimer!

Welcome to the Spider's Web as conceived and run by me, Michael C. Shivers. There are so many great Spider-Man pages on the Net today, it took me a while before I decided exactly what I wanted to do here.

Here's what I came up with.

Consider this an Ex-Expatriate's Page. The idea here is that there are many people, namely the Expatriates , who missed out on a lot of Spider-Man when they boycotted the character during all that clone stuff. Like it or hate it, the fact remains that those events happened. It's history. Now that Ben is dead and the one, true Spider-Man has returned, the Expatriates and anybody else who didn't read the books during that period of time have basically missed out.

Until now!

I also figure there are a lot of people out there who have only recently begun following the exploits of Peter Parker, and may be scratching their heads at all the talk and controversy surrounding the recent clone storyline.

Finally, I'm finding that I myself am getting a kick out of doing this. Going back and revisiting old adventures is always fun, anyway ... but for some reason, the controversy makes this particular storyline even more fun for me to go back and look upon. (I find myself thinking things like "Boy, was I pissed when I first read that ...")

Starting with "Lifetheft," which is the point at which I consider the whole clone thing really started, I intend to post a comprehensive summary of the entire Clone Saga. Every issue. Every storyline. Every character.

Pretty cool, huh?

Each review will include a thorough summary of the issue, images from the issue, my thoughts about the issue, and whatever else I feel like including.

ENJOY!

A Word about Synopses: Many of the synopses for these issues turned out to be much longer than I had thought they would. I have tried to go through and bold important stuff from the issue. If you don't have the time or the inclination to read a lengthy synopsis, scan the article and home in on the boldfaced words.
