As you look at the book, you notice that its cover is a rainbow-dyed wherskin fitted finely to the outside of the book.  Some pages have neatly jotted words and notes, others have barely legible scrawls, showing how much time she had to get them written on each, whether leisurely during a meal or quickly between classes.  You open it, and find a table of contents:
