A leaf in the wind.
Tumbling on the eternal breeze
Floating above the permanent earth
Between it and the boundless sky.
Being thrown over, under, and around.
Lost, confused, scared:

Lost on a random path,
     Only knowing of past events.
Confused of which way to turn,
Not sure of the next direction of wind.
And Scared…
Scared of the heights never reached.
Scared of going to far to turn back.
    Scared of touching the ground,
Of finishing what never got started.

But floating now,
Remaining to move on the wind.
With chances yet to be taken,
    Sights yet to be seen.
Dancing on, surging forth in life’s tornado.
Life's Tornado
