Okay, this page is still being worked on. It is in memory of my well loved grandmother Marian Lucille Brown who, most unfortunately left us on June 21 2000. Goodbye Gramma, I love you very much. The following poem was written by my father, and read at her funeral. | ||||||||||||
READING TO MOM In Memory of My Mother, Marian Lucille Brown I read to my mom today. When I was young she read to me. I read to my mom today. I read to my mom today. Could she hear what I read to her? I read to my mom today. I read to my mom each day. As she lies there with beeps and tones. I read to my mom each day. I read to my mom each day. I see her face and hope she hears. I read to my mom each day I will read to mom daily. She would read to us if she could. I will read to mom daily. I hope to read tomorrow. If only mom could have more time. I hope to read tomorrow. Yes! I will read tomorrow! There is not much more I can do. Yes! I will read tomorrow! Could I read to her today? Instead I only held her hand. Could I read to her today? I held my mom's hand today. All the numbers were growing small. I held my mom's hand today. I held my mom's hand today. All the numbers went to zero. I held my mom's hand today. I held my mom's hand today. The monitor showed a flat line. I held my mom's hand today. No more can I read to mom. No longer will her struggle last. No more can I read to mom. Today I said goodbye mom. She's gone to be with God. Today I said goodbye mom. If you can hear me now mom, Go with God. Peace has come to you. If you can hear me now mom. Yes! You can hear me now mom! You gave us life, you gave us love. Yes! You can hear me now mom! We need to let you go now. We know we will see you again. We need to let you go now. Dear mom, goodbye. We love you. Your place is now with God. Dear mom, goodbye. We love you |
