    Basically, Maximan, is my Superhero roleplaying homage to Superman.  He possesses most of Superman's powers except for his sensory abilities (X-Ray vision, telescopic, etc. Right now, I'm working with the GM to develop super senses for him, one at a time). He was first created in the late summer of 1995, for a friend's "Champions, the Superhero Roleplaying Game" 1940's campaign.

    I played him for about a year and half (the length of the campaign) and then after the game was over, I put him away into mothballs. Occasionally taking him out to look at his stats and ogle over the great artwork (see  above.  Please forgive the the condition of the art, it's a bit old.) Anyway, two years ago, while surfing the gaming sites, I happened to come upon a "Villains and Vigilantes" Superhereo Roleplaying PBeM (Play By e-MAIL) game. Since the original "Villains and Vigilantes" Superhero Roleplaying game was one of my all time FAVOURITE role playing games, I quickly joined and was accepted as a full time player.

    I first started out with an NPC (non player character, a character controlled by the Game Master, the person who is responsible for the game's direction and focus), a speedster known as (for all things) "Speedy", and he was Mexican! I quickly rewrote his origin and made him a major player. After a while though, the character didn't hold that much interest for me, and I looked for another type of character type to play. After conferring with the GM on possible character types, he told me that he really wanted someone to play a "Superman type" of character. Voila! I told the GM about the Maximan character that I had played in my old "Champions" game and what he was, the GM, loved the idea!!! After some retooling of his origin, Maximan came into the "Villains and Vigilantes" world.
