"Is Radiation Good for You? Or dioxin? Or arsenic?" [permanent link]. An article that talks about the field of 'hormesis', a theory that says that small quantities of poisonous substances, like poisons, carcinogens, etc., may be beneficial. The field is being championed by a respected toxicologist and not to be confused with homeopathy. Is hormesis is true, then efforts to reduce poisonous substances in the air and water below certain values may not be worth the effort.
