I had a few combos of my own that I have found to be quite usefull in gameplay. Marines=bass, hicks, and at least one smartgunner(fourth is optional, fodder, or a bonus character) when in combat, and you need to do a lot of damage to a lot of things, here is what i attempt: declare ranged combat, then use rapid fire with crossfire attached.(add any extra damage cards that you prefer, I personally recommend "if it bleeds and/or "concentrated fire") That softens em up a bit, then Do normal combat. In normal combat; rotate bass, rotate hicks to straighten bass, rotate bass, (then use "somebody wake up hicks", if you got it handy to ready bass and rotate him again) thats up to +3 to hit with up to two smartgunners. You can also use "settle the score and other nasties when facing predators, or buff aliens. also, for hub: place locations as follows: barracks, armory, machine shop, docking bay, heat exchanger, operations. You can make a game nasty in a real hurry with this set up! First head for the armory and grab some weapons (Note, be scant, you kind of need speed to do this) If you have the cards handy find the mechanic at the machine shop and use him and "rig it ups" on your smartguns, and pulse rifles. When you feel buff, or are in a hurry, go on over to the heat exchanger and settle in a bit. Setting up a bunch of sentry uns and strong marines in a room almost always attracts attention. While the other races/players are busy deciding as to whether to attack you, or just don't realize the position they happen to be in scour your deck for the "structural damage" card.(If a pred comes after you first, your cool. You should be able to handle one pred, to counter them use "setlle the score" and "motion sensors" If aliens, you may want to place a "hardpoint next door so that you fire into the heat exchanger. When they come, w omever they are, use area is secure and let em have it as much as you can! When you miss the illusionary pred token, or can't hit the manky alien with five tokens on em(intentionally, one would hope) you send 20 damage flying into the heat exchanger. Us structural damage(with a few march of time if you got em) and also play "not that way to keep the uglies from getting in your way. Run like the dickens and hit the machine shop. After the kaboom, the hive should be dust, the pred should either be snugg ed in their ship or with you, and the few remaining survivors are for your mop up duty. Note: All of this does not have to be precise, if it were, i would not put it on this list. Fudge factor always comes in handy, and losing a few marines is acceptable, just so long as you are the last one standing.

everyone I know trashes the Marines but as far as I'm concerned they just don't know how to use their strengths and minimize thier weaknesses I have beaten two teamed up fully loaded predators (fast claw and huntmaster) I have gone on alien cleansing crusades yesterday i killed my freind's fully equipped huntmaster on the fifth turn and then found my five supporting characters walked over to the predator's doking bay killed the aliens that were waiting for me and on the next turn evacuated don't tell me that the marines suck!

Spiffy-Keen page! My friends, my brother and I have known about the game for quite awile. Just now are the starter decks showing up!! Marines have character but too powerful with military arms. Predators are versatile but with no Honor limits, it gets pointless very quickly. Aliens are fun if you just want to be drones for a while but lack the number of specific cards that other species have that makes them special (maybe I'm just missing those cards but who knows?)
