Hartnell sighted at Burger King!
In a stunning bit of news, William Hartnell, previously thought to have died in 1975 has been spotted alive and well! The eager snapper, who wishes to remain anonymous, but who's name is Frank Liar, took this incredible picture in Holland last week. Apparently Mr Liar went up to Mr Hartnell and confronted him, and was given the response; "What...how did you...I'm not William Hartnell at all...no...I, I mean he died in 1975...err..." before running off to insult some more minority groups.
Langford and Waterhouse sweep board at Oscars
Matthew Waterhouse and Bonnie Langford clinched the Oscars for best actor and actress respectively as Doctor Who:The Movie swept the boards last night. A thrilled Waterhouse, whose performance as Adric has won him a new generation of fans said, "What a terrific night. I'd like to thank John Nathan-Turner, the producer, director and best boy in this film for casting me."
Langford, who received her eighth Oscar in ten years added, "Well, it's just another Oscar to go on the mantelpiece, alongside my husbands when he did "Nattional Lottery advert - the Movie" in 2003." When asked what she was going to eat as a celebration, she said "Ice scream and ice scream until I'm sick."
