One of the other surprises I didn't really like that much, was the talk of the living situation of both my aunt and myself, over the course of the summer. While I was gonna be having a room in the main house, across the hall from my sister,my aunt would be splitting the cottage which the governess lived in,the only area of the servants' quarters which wasn't connected to the other such areas. Well, such a thing didn't bother her,it didn't mean much to me either, until I was shown my room, and I noticed that there was a big difference in our lodgings.
My room was half as big as the downstairs of my aunt,I also found out that most of the rooms set aside for the permanent residents, with the exception of the one which belonged to my uncle, were the same size,or smaller. It made sense that he would have the biggest personal living space, due to how it was his money that bought the house.
