KNIGHT INDUSTRIES TWO THOUSAND

K.I.T.T.(Knight Industries Two Thousand) This is the name of the car developed by F.L.A.G. for use in fighting "criminals who operate above the law". K.I.T.T. was a 1982 black Pontiac Trans AM. Universal obtained prototypes of this vehicle from GM in order to boost publicity before its release. Later, GM requested that Universal no longer refered to the car as a Trans AM due to an overwhelming number of customers waiting to buy the "Knight Rider" version of the car.
