Southern California Lake Serpent The community known as Lake Elsinore in Riverside County seen a mysertious creature in the moderately sized lake of Lake Elsinore. The first known sighting occured in 1884. Though the sightings of this creature don't end there. In 1970, Bonnie Play, a lakesider, claimed to have seen this creature twice. She described it as 12 feet long and about 3 feet wide. It's form of swimming is an up-and-down motion unlike the horizontal motion of a snake. After this, three Lake Elsinore State Park officials claimed to see a similar creature surface 50 feet from their vessel. In rebuttal, they gave conflicting descriptions, though aggreeing the thing's existance was odd.
