Tenchi Muyo will be shown on Cartoon network starting June and new Sailor Moon and DBZ episodes will be shown in the fall. Also Card Captor Sakura will likely be shown in the fall on WB kids
If you haven't heard of anime, I'm not gonna explain - much. Anime is the world of Japanese animation. The differences between anime and American animation - well, the Japanese animators use different camera angles and shots to get a different feel for the show. American animation tends to be more straight forward and show more contemporary and normal shots. The Japanese animation is more technical and flows more like a real movie. American animation is a little more engrossed with detail, not the overall presentation. Most adults don't watch cartoons in America. They're aimed at children. But with anime, the movies are oriented more for adults. They do make killer kids' shows though. Cartoon Network and a few other stations have taken the opportunity to expose American people to the more complex cartoons such as
, Sailor Moon, and Pokemon which were all aimed for the younger Japanese society, but are vastly different from normal American shows. But there are similarities with shows like X-men, Batman and such.
