And I have no words to describe them... please do yourself a favor and BUY THEM- in case you have not done it yet.

09/05/1999- Hi folks! How you doin'? Well, I think you'll be oll korrect by now anyway. Check this upcoming events:

"BATMAN: NO MAN'S LAND #0"-- Find out how Huntress'd became the new Batgirl and what happened with some matters concerning Batman after the Cataclysm, in this special x-pages one-shot comic!!! It has been three months since the bridges of Gotham City have blown away without a trace of the Dark Knight. For the first time, it's revealed in this issue the journey through the world that apparently seems to be the escape of Batman, from a critical situation. Things get high with the appearence of an unexpected character along with the return of Bruce Wayne. Written by Jordan Gorfinkel and Greg Rucka; Art by Greg Land and Drew Geraci. Painted-art cover by Glen Orbik. Got some 64 pages, at $4.95.

"BATMAN: NO MAN'S LAND SECRET FILES #1"--Be around in Gotham City, just one night before the bridges fall to pieces- while only one Gothamite try to stop his city from being a no man's land. Check out this: new plants and maps of the new Batcaves; in search of missing Bruce (story written by Chuck Dixon and art by Sal Velluto and Bob Amond); lost pages- "No Man's Land The Animated Series" (story by Scot Peterson, art by Craig Rousseau and Terry Beatty); and a part of what was discussed, argued at the American Senate about Gotham situation- resulting in the isolation of Gotham (by Chuck Dixon); characters plot, bios and a lot more. More 64 pages and $4.95.

BATMAN DARK VICTORY"-- In "Batman The Long Halloween", Jeph Loeb and Tim Sale touched scaryly the first times of Batman's career, showing up a Gotham City crowded by gangsters and weird criminals. When the defenders of its streets- Jim Gordon, Harvey Dent and Batman- were ever challenged and altered by the hunt of a dangerous foe called Holiday, for a year. Now Loeb and Sale return with the long-awaited sequel for "Long Halloween", in 13 parts: "Batman: Dark Victory" (just as annouced here awhile ago). With the same format, issues #1 and #13 will be special (more pages and ads-free, and the others with cardstock wraparound covers), but as well can be read without the context of the first Halloween. This time, a crew of big villains (including Joker, Catwoman, Mr. Freeze and Poison Ivy), the introduction of the sidekick partner (guess who? it's the... BOOOOOOOY WONDERRRRRR!!!) of the Dark Knight, and a Gotham City transforming into a city of abnormities, from a past of organized crime rulers. And Batman must face new threats, mainly the strange return of... Holiday. But the question remains: as long as we were stuck around who was or who WERE Holiday, who IS it this time??? and how many victims will be laid until Batman uncovers the truth? Issues from #2 to #12 will have 32 pages and cost $ 2.95; #1 and #13, 48 pages and at the price $4.95.

"SON OF SUPERMAN"-- It's been 17 years since the last we saw Superman. But Jon Kent never really missed him. Indeed, the teen never met the Man of Steel. He also never met his father, Clark Kent, who his mother Lois Lane is quoted as dead before he was were born. But there's something the bothers Jon: the strange solar activity that made his body fall deep into a pit of alterations... alterations which conceded him powers beyond human beings' range. The discovery of Jon Kent around an inheritance that he never dreamt of, is the main core of this graphic novel written by Howard Chaykin ("American Flag!" and "Blackhawk") and art by J. H. Williams and Mick Gray (both responsible for "Promethea"). The year is 2017 and the life without the Man of Steel brought some interesting consequences: a brave and new and brightened and happy world, full of hopes and dreams has given birth to a new an unexpected kind of "heros"- a group of terrorists called "Supermen". Armored in hightech war-suits, they plan to bring down the authoritarian system, which controls everything from public schools to the JLA. The doing of Jon's powers draws attention of the Supermen, and then they try to recruit him, forcely if need be, in on last mission: find out what has been of Superman- the Man of Steel. Another 96 pages and 24.95 bucks.

MORE CUTE NEWS: Rumours are casting George Clooney for the role of Bruce Banner, in the long-action movie about the green guy from Marvel. It's not been confirmed yet, but if so it's a hint that Batman Five is heading a "Year One" adaptation. Also, Marvel plans to have Hulk generated by computer effects, to better SHOW Hulk "skills". Casting Witchblade TV Series from Oliver Stone, the name Claudia Christian ("Babylon 5") came up these days. As a rumour, once Top Cow doesn't confirm that. The delayed and long-awaited-too series may debut over TNT next summer 2000.

08/15/1999- This website is 1 year and 3 days old now. Thanks all you pals who come here frequently and also all those who come and hop.

Some interesting notes today. As of comics, I received yesterday some cool issues. "Catwoman: Guardian of Gotham" (written by Doug Moench and illustrated by Jim Balent and Kim DeMulder) is an Elseworlds story that brings Catwoman in the role of Gotham Vigilante. I hadn't read yet, but it looks fine to see Batman as the true enemy...

"Batman Harley Quinn" has already arrived too, by Paul Dini, Yvel Guichet and Aaron Sowd. With a Image Comics style, the art is amazing. The story that introduces the most popular character in the TV Series.

Changing subjects: the casting for the long-awaited movie "The X-Men" is almost completed. The names choosen up to now are below. For the part of Cyclops and Jean Grey, nobody came up to lead the role. Rumours say that Noah Dunby or Sterling Wolfe may fit. Also, Famke Janssen ("Goldeneye") may be Jean Grey.

Professor X - Patrick Stweart ("Star Trekk Insurrection")

Magneto - Ian McKellen ("Gods And Monsters")

Wolverine - Dougray Scott ("Ever After")

Rogue - Anna Paquin ("She's All That")

Storm - Halle Berry ("The Flintstones")

Mystique - Rebecca Romijn-Stamos ("Austin Powers: The Spy Who Shagged Me")

Sabretooth - Tyle Mane (professional wrestler)

Senator Kelly - Bruce Davison ("At First Sight")

The film is scheduled for a July 4th 2000 release- though things can change until there.

08/15/1999- Hi folks. I am sorry, I have been away from internet for almost a month. I fell sick and now I think all is fine- again. Lots of things to tell, and I know you bat-people look foward to it. Oll Korrect, here we go...

First off, DC Comics is changing Gotham City. After the earthquake and now along with No Man's Land feature, a new look is being considered for the best city around in comics. Batman maybe back to the original costume, Frank Miller's style (check it out now: click here to it!), and it's believed to have Scott McDaniel on the pencils early next year. And Catwoman too, going wild back with his new (or old?) uniform (wanna see it too?), is rumoured to be left by artist Jim Balent. And as I reported here before, Harley Quinn is going downtown... for the first time. "Batman: Harley Quinn" upcomes in a special edition by Supes Peace on Earth writter Paul Dini and artists Aaron Sowd and Yvel Guichet- It's August, don't miss it.

Talking about new comics, I had already read "The Darkness/ Batman" #1 and... it's mean. Thanks to Top Cow Productions and DC Comics. You made it. Writting it there are someones called SCOTT LOBDELL and JEPH LOEB ("Long Halloween"); pencilers Marc Silvestri ("Cyberforce" and "Darkness"), Dave Finch ("Ascension") and Clarence Lansang. The story brings Jackie Estacado to Gotham, clearing the path for the coming of his "uncle" Frankie Franchetti- so that to take over and organize crime there. And he ends up against the Dark Knight. The art is cool, and so is the story. But it could be more explored, I think.

Moreover, the triumphant creators of "Batman The Long Halloween" and "Superman For All Seasons" JEPH LOEB and TIM SALE are back in October with "Batman: Dark Victory"- a 13-issue sequel for the Long Halloween. This's WILDER... anyway, take a look as well in "Batman Beyond" series to begin next month by Hilary J. Bader, Craig Rousseau and Rob Leigh, and about November "Tomb Raider The Comic" from Top Cow Productions along with Eidos Interactive. Bat-cool. ;)

Next Thursday, August 19th, this website is 1-year-old. Around 800 hits this page have recorded since then, and I'd like to thank you all... I will try to keep up the good work here, and I'll probably add new sections- like a Personal Profile and some photos. See you and take care... ;)

07/04/1999- The debut of Harley Quinn- the biggest hit in Batman's animated adventures on DC Universe- is to take place in an one-shot written by Harley's creator, Paul Dini (SUPERMAN PEACE ON EARTH), with a painted cover by Alex Ross (PEACE ON EARTH, MARVELS, KINGDOM COME) and art by Yvel Guichet and Aaron Sowd. You can view the paint cover by Alex Ross clicking right here.

Also I added a link in the "Links" section of a X-Men homepage. There you'll find info and news about the mutant heroes and the upcoming blockbuster film- probably hitting the theaters in the beginning of year 2000. Check this out.

07/03/1999- Book of the month: "Birds Of Prey" #8. Nightwing meets Oracle, in a love-time story. Things are going get-down good with them. Meanwhile, Batman summons Nightwing back to Gotham City, in order to help him out. Batman quoted as "I have a situation up here in Gotham that could use your attention. I'll need you in the city by this evening. I've called Robin in as well". "It was you who told us to stay out of Gotham" Dick replied, "I've got a life here. I can't just walk away from that. You'll have to..." and Batman terminate the transmission... "DAMN YOU!!!". It's "Nightwing" #34.

06/05/1999- My B5 script changed name, for "Batman Legend". What about it? Lemme know...

05/30/1999- Check out my draft of Batman 5 script, it's almost done. The story brings back the Dynamic Duo in their crusade of crimefighting, this time facing a villain called The Scarecrow. Scarecrow, aka Jonathan Crane, intends to spread a toxic gas on Gotham, "Fear Gas"- that causes hallucinations in the victim's mind. Will the Dark Knight and Nightwing manage the menace? Featuring Oracle and Alfred Pennyworth.

05/23/1999- I saw "The Matrix", starring Keanu Reeves ("Speed") and Laurence Fishburne ("Event Horizon"), this Sunday. I say it's mean. Very very mean. One of the best films I ever seen in my whole life. Only George Lucas to prove I'm wrong. Anyway, go and watch "The Matrix". I can't speak any longer... By the way, "Star Wars Episode 1" debuted this week in U.S. and is arriving down here Brazil on late June. He he he...
