                                                                  The Journey

The old man sat in his chair not feeling relaxed, he'd tutored her for nine years, the time had come for Diana to try out her powers over ALL TIME in the UNIVERSE.
Sixteen year old DIANA asks.
"What would you have me do Father?"
The old man replies.
"Child you've passed your TEST, you may visit the yellow STAR."
Diana faces the APERTURE and waits, the colors stop moving, trees, animals and birds appear, further on there's a river and a waterfall.
Diana ENTERS this realm and walks beside the river dressed in a leather skirt and top, wearing golden sandals on her feet, a gold bow and quiver of silver arrows hang from her left shoulder, on her waist is a leather belt joined in the middle with a silver buckle embroidered with RUBIES shining like a beacon in the afternoon sun.
From her ears yellow iridescent butterflies dance to and fro as she paces beside the water which gurgles over lava flows.
Diana pauses as she approaches a clearing, before her is a buck and doe mating.
She stops to take in this moment of procreation, impulsively becoming more than a casual observer.
The separation from self to the identity of being part of this creation was instantaneous, she grows with the embryo feeling the warmth and love of the mother who she'd joined with, then the greatest moment of all, the birth pains, the struggle for new life by the infant.
Many joyous moments were taken in as the baby progresses toward adulthood, the bond between them ever strong, they live by hearing every sound and smelling every smell and eating the delicious grasses and flowers growing in the valley.
It was on an early morning when a pain like no other separated the growing infant from the mother forever.
Diana felt the pain, she experienced the panic, the loss, then the loneliness.
The doe had been struck down by an animal trap, the infant lay beside her with it's head crushed, breathing it's last breath.
Diana separates, takes a last look at this scene of pain and death, stands beside them slowly passing her right hand over the RUBIES on her belt.
She steps back through the APERTURE, the old man looks up and says.
"Child you give me no rest, why do you return so soon?"
In a revered tone Diana answers.
"Father for the first TIME in my life I've experienced pain and loss."
After saying this tears cascade down her cheeks.
ON THE LITTLE PLANET REVOLVING ROUND THE WEAK YELLOW STAR THERE WAS A DELUGE.
