DEVIOUS - TIME

Time is our limiting factor! And money perhaps - though not our imagination! The story was written by David and Ashley without filming considerations in mind. We didn't want to compromise the storyline with what was possible - rather we were concerned that the story worked. In hindsight, with the advent of computer effects and editing etc we are glad this was the decision we took - since we are now able to use these computer effects to tell parts of the story that would have seemed impossible - like the space scenes for example!

As Amateurs, we only work on occasional weekends and evenings. We generally meet during the week to work on the script (we believe in altering it right up until filming!), and we generally film at a weekend. Whether it is in a set or on location, we only seem to film a few times during the year!

We are all busy individuals, and have full and interesting (??) lives outside of this project, which is why we have been on this project for about 5 years (!!!!!) Still, we believe the final thing will be worth it (we hope!). Even the few times a year (lately) we do get to film, we have had to spend many weeks in preparation. Sets and props all need construction, as does the script, and the actors need rehearsal!
