Rave Memories

1)Tranceformer III
-My first and still my favorite party of all time
-Spacegirl's set was nuts! I just went into crazy euphoria on the dancefloor several times during her set.
2)Ready 2 Rumble
-Two words: Jorah Kai!!! He rocked my body until it was ready collapse. Actually thats what I literally did, I collapsed onto a bunch of bags by my friends. Definitely up there in my sets of all time list.
-Chilling with extremely high friends that lead to puzzling hallucinations and life altering discoveries!
-We rolled all of our weed in one joint and then let half of it get smoked by other people! We didn't care either!!!
3)Deeelight 3
-Finally getting into the party at 4:00am after just finishing a 7 hour work shift
-Only around 100 people left in the place, wikkid inclusive vibe
-Meeting Kim by total accident! I just sat down on the speaker beside this chick and we started chatting. She was (and still is) the coolest person I had ever met!
-Seeing Jenn Frise at a party! I sat beside her in Math class and all we did was talk about parties (and how we didn't get the math). Finally being together at one was sooo chill.
-Dancing my ass off (again) to a 6:00am Jorah Kai set after all my friends had left me...Kai had a nice MC with him and even spun Old Macdonald!
4)Tryptamine Dream
-Dominik vs. Jorah Kai: 4 hour madness!!!!!!
-Finding Trevor and calming him down. It was really scary at the time (the guy didn't even know his name). But now we look back and laugh.
-Watching Shawn dance for like 3 out of the 4 hours of Kai vs. Dominik
-Dave Rodriguez-the glow sticks are telling me what to do man!
-Meeting Deacon(Craig) for the very first time. I said I wanted to MC for him on XVI so I dropped some rhymes for him. He was impressed and he hooked me up with a tape at the party.
-Admitting to Craig that I was way too fukkin' high to talk shop. He admitted that he was partying for the first time in awhile to. HAHAHA
-Meeting both Pauls (Alkoline Fetus & Lil' Freek) and Timm for the very first time.
-Meeting Kim again (she is SO frickin' cool)
5)Blast Off!
-It was my 18th birthday!!!!!
-First time I ever saw Deacon spin-start of an obsession with Hardcore.
-Smoking a huge joint with all of my best friends when the clock struck 12:00am(I'm 18!!!)
-Meeting Meagh(Adrenaline Machine) and HeCtiC HeAtHer for the first time
-Birthday dube with Ben (BuCk NuTs) and his girlfriend Lisa while at the same time smoking another joint with my other friends in the opposite room!
-Sharing my birthday experience with two other super birthday people: Kyla(Ky.dee.C) and Tom(TomEboy)
-4:20 session with all my friends and Jorah Kai!!!! Kai was like my hero back then, it was sooooo sweet.
-Birthday cards! I had these deck of jumbo cards and I went around getting everyone to sign them!
-Giving Kai my sketch I had done of him. I still can't believe I did that.
6)Night Shift
-Getting lost with my friends 'cause of crappy directions.
-Eating all of Meagh's gummy bears!
-Dancing my ass off to Deacon's set! I was the only one on the dance floor! Yippee!
7)The Gathering
-Huge frickin' party (at least in terms of Ottawa...). Over 2,000 people for sure...everyone was there.
-Introduction of the clips!!!
-Waiting an hour for my friends to show up so we could give them their tickets. In the course of that hour I met Anthony(aka Speaker Phreaker) and gave him a clip.
-Speaker Phreakers set! B b bbbooty!!!! Everyone was there! The vibe kicked total ass.
-Jenn seeing me and giving me a big huge bear hug! That was so friggin' cool!
-During Speaker Phreaker's set I met MC Flipside and we discussed MCing and DJs. He even MCed for me to Speaker Phreaker's booty! It was so dope. The guy is so nice!
-Craig coming up to ME and saying "Hi"...also he asked me a question that I still find funny as hell!
-Lab fukkin' 4!!!!!! They were so freakin' hard it was wikkid! The roof of the tent was literally steaming because everyone was dancing so hard!
-Both Shawn and Kim being in close proximity to myself during Lab-4. I was totally blown away by their dancing stylez.
-Kai remembered my name!
-Seeing so many clips on peoples clothes by the end of the night!
8)ReAlignment
-Seeing Meagh, Gerad and Jasmina for like 30 minutes before they had to leave!
-Dancing to 4 hours of crazy hardcore music! Deacon's set literally had the floor shaking! I had never seen a set of total New Style before and The Construct introduced me in A proper fashoin! Kai-->Speeeeeeeeeedcore!!!!!!! I was not expecting that at all!
-Seeing Hectic Heather dance for the first time!
-Meeting Supah Pete for the first time
-Handing out more clips-I ran out by the end of the night!
-Pineapple and oranges courtesy of Paul! heehee
9)Hardcore Nights at Club Aftershock
-Seeing Deacon spin on a bi-weekly basis! Always goin' nuts with fellow Gabber kids
-Kai vs. Dominik rematch!!! Only got to stay for about 45 minutes but damn that was a wikkid 45 minutes...
-Driving Hectic Heather and her friend Liz a ride home....Heather humping my car! Seeing my friends just fall in love with Heather.
-Carrying Kai's records! hahaha
-Hootchie hunting!
10) 4th Dimension
-Chilling with Karine for a bit before her 'ardcore ass decided to leave 'cause she was too cool =P
-Hanging outside Aftershock with loads of other people
-Flyering with Paul
-Kai gave me a FreezE!!!!!! Definitely a highlight to remember
-Going out and hanging out with the gabber kidz waiting for Deacon's set (mmmm Burger King)
-DEACON'S SET---> Without a doubt the best set I've ever heard him spin! His showman skills were in full effect and his track selection/mixing skills blew the roof off of that place! It was such a crappy party but that set made it worthwhile...
-Lil Freek' being a pussy and being outside 'cause he was sick (what a wuss=). Yelling at him to get the fuck in 'cause it was Craig's last song (Speedfreak by Neophyte and the Stunned Guys). Running in and dancing 'till I could dance no more. The gabber kids literally fell to their knees and worshipped Craig!
-Taking a picture of Deacon, the Middle Man(Mark) and all the other Gabber kidz(best picture ever!)
11)WEMF 2000
-Hectic Heather and her 'art' on the bus
-The whole weekend was crazy fun with wikkid DJs but I think these doods were the best: Growling Mad Scientists, Mark EG, Matt Boom!, Anabolic Frolic(the ONLY time I have ever enjoyed happy hardcore), Simon Postford, Mickey Finn, Hallucinagen
-Hanging with Gerad all weekend and getting to know him better.
-Ottawa Goa tent was the best tent at WEMF! Eclipse/One Tribe showin' how it's done!
-Air Guitars with Vince during Matt Boom's set
-Sitting in line so we could take a bus to get a shower...bus comes two hours late. Driver doesn't know where he's going so we end up having no showers! Oh well me and Gerad made a good time of it!
-Chris Liberator's set-->Being on the brink of sleep one minute getting up and dancing like a mad man the next!
-Wikkid dancers to be found in every tent!
-Wikkid eye candy (aka hot females) to be found in every tent
-Meeting a guy from Ottawa.....he pointed at us from afar and said "Ottawa right?" 'Cause he saw our clips!!!!! It was so dope. Made it all worthwhile...
-Talking with people as far away as Boston...discovering what their scenes were like...
12)Alright!
-My Mother attends a rave!!! She had a really good time. I was so happy and proud of my Mom for being so understanding and cool.
-Seeing Graham J for the very first time and discovering that techno rules!
13)I*M*P*A*C*T
-Getting a ride from some guys from Kingston who thought I knew how to get to the party. Through sheer luck we eventually found our way there!
-Deedot's set rawked the house!
-Almost all of my friends were there-so just chilling with them was again very fun!
-Captain Tinrib!!! His set was tha shiznit. The vibe for it was insane. Everyone was having a good time.
-Tinrib dancers! Go Heather....go Heather go go Heather...
-Rick Rude vs. Deacon-->Spooge! Total braincracking 2 hour set! Enjoyed it ver' much
-Having fun with Russ..."Dood....I am SO freakin' lushed right now!" hahaha
-Meeting new people and handing out clips...
-Kai remembered my name and his girlfriend winked at me as if she recognized me!
-Meeting this guy named Dave...I think....it was his birthday and he gave me the trippiest idea I had ever heard in my entire life! I laughed my ass off for at least 5 minutes after that!
-Bus ride home with Anton, CrakAhs and some guy I don't know (sorry dood)..."Yeah man the Jungle freakin' kicked ass!" HAHAHA
14)Transmitah Overload(aka Corey and Kai's Bday bash)
-Running after the shuttle bus! I ran for 3 blocks when I finally caught up to it! I would have been waiting two hours in the parking lot if I hadn't caught it!
-Just plain chillin' with friends...
-Getting to know people I know of/heard of a lot better: Shawn, Clone, Mowgli(Jesse)
-Meeting Heather(Majestic) for the first time! It turned out that I had been to almost all of the parties as she had but we had never met up before(I dunno how I missed such striking beauty).
-Meeting Sp|n|n Mandy for the first time and watching each other dance. I had a really good time with her that night...
-Wikkid sets-->Jorah Kai (he spun EVERYTHING! it was so dope 'Jump around!'), Clone (first time I had heard goa since WEMF...wikkid stuff), Mowgli(I live for the funk...I live for the funk), s4(HARD acid trance), and Trauma(junglin')
15)West Wreckin' It
-The location was huge! Nice 'virgin' vibe to it...
-B R E A K beat BEATS beats...Electro Ninja threw down some wikkid oldskool....and than Bobby Skillz & Nicky Twist kept it rockin'!
-Space Monk-E! The whole party was going crazy with sexual energy! It was amazing!
-Having a good time on the dancefloor! I danced my ass off and totally lost myself in the music.
16)Impulse
-Thomas Krome!!! Best DJ set I've seen. He smoked the decks unbelievably hard.
-Light show and visuals were incredible
-Massive dance space with plenty of room to dance
-Montreal vibe!!! Just an amazing sense of joy and happiness permeated throughout the place...
-Best party ever!!!
