About the Author

Girard Dulay, alias 'gearhead-g', created the Mecha Outpost as a personal exercise of questionable value. An amateur webhack, he acquired his skills by browsing through other, more professional websites. Fancying himself quite the programmer, he also delves into programming projects and other, non-sanctioned experiments (wink wink) on expensive computer hardware that he does not exactly own. A hack writer and illustrator, he has a very modest portfolio and likes to try his hand at amateur criticism (a skill he has yet to gain from).

A graduate of Management Information Systems, he has, in theory, acquired the skills needed to dominate today's global market. His exposure to Management culture has given him the ego to accept this theory as fact. He spent all of his college life pretending to study (when he should have been slacking off outright) in the Ateneo de Manila University (located in the Republic of the Philippines) while living off his parents' good will.

When he's not studying ;), he likes to play state-of-the-art network games on his not-so-state-of-the-art computer. He also nurtures a financially-detrimental interest in anime, manga, and general science fiction, which he assures himself will not spell bankruptcy in the future, having convinced himself that he can "quit anytime".
