Since then my collection has grown rapidly. Especially since the Pepsi promotion! It is now my goal to collect as many displays with Star Wars, whether it is from the Special Edition or Episode I. Vintage displays are a bit out of my (money)range yet. It is sometimes very difficult obtaining these beautiful items but trading and Ebay get me more then I have room for!
Here you can see some of my displays. I started collecting these rather late. It was only after the release of the THX videos in 1995 that I found out that you can 'ask for displays that would otherwise be thrown away...'. I got a nice R2D2 and C3PO standee as well as a Videobox counter display.
Click here to see my biggest display: a huge cardboard stand for the video-release of the Star Wars Special Edition (SWSE)!! After months of begging, travelling throught Holland and Belgium I managed to save it from extinction, through the biggest video retail store in Amsterdam: FAME. It took quite some effort and time to get it into an Amsterdam public tram (I do not have a car) We got a lot of looks though! Along with it I got a very nice huge cardboard TIE Fighter. In Singapore I managed to get the acompanying X wing Fighter! With Episode I coming out all radars were out to spot and get some nice promotional material.
