So I spend way too much time on IRC... but hey, it's a good laugh and if you haven't tried it then you don't know what you're missing, but be warned - you may end up hooked! Trust me, I was that person who said, "I'll just try ten minutes and then forget it..."

MetalJoe, as the sharper amongst you will know, is my IRC nickname. I used to be found as an op on channel #england, lurking in the background while hastily debugging late programming assignments or browsing the Web for little gems of CyberCrud... I was also known to poke my head onto #amiga occasionally, just to keep up with the latest gossip and news.

Sadly, my student days are over. IRC isn't allowed at work (not that that stopped me at university) and even if it was I just don't get the time to use it. My Internet connection is entirely based at work, with a "weekend" account at my old university. I hope to have a proper home connection sometime before July, so I may well be haunting IRC on weekends and evenings...
